We review and accept articles throughout the year on a rolling basis. The editors welcome submissions that break new ground on legal issues, provide in-depth discussion of current developments and timely issues, or survey the law in a particular area of interest to our international readership. Our authors include scholars, judges, and practitioners operating principally in the field of commercial law.
Our team of editors carefully considers each article regardless of when it is submitted.
We welcome the submission of: (i) Articles (2,500-4,500 words); (ii) Practice Notes/Case Comments (1,500-2000 words); (iii) Current Developments (2,500-5,500 words); and (iv) Book Reviews (1,000 words). Please note that word count limits are inclusive of footnotes. The Editorial Board retains a discretion to accept longer or shorter pieces.
The journal has an exclusive submission policy. If your paper or article has already been published, or is to be published elsewhere, please include this information at the time of submission. Articles must be the original work of the author(s) identified on the submission, save for material from other works that are properly cited or included with the permission of the rights owners. All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism and duplicate publication.
The Terms and Conditions for submissions can be viewed here.
How to make a Submission
All manuscripts should be submitted in TCLR House Style electronically as a Word attachment using the form below. You may also email this to email@example.com. In addition to the manuscript, contributors should also include an abstract of 150 words, as well as a short biography.
Our editors always seek to review articles within a few weeks of receiving them, but it may take longer to reach a decision when submission volumes are high. If we are unable to extend a publication offer, we will notify the author promptly but are unable to offer feedback.
In limited cases, we can expedite the review of a submitted article if the author is facing strict response deadlines by other journals that have already accepted the article. To request an expedited review, please email the Co-Editors-in-Chief.
